Patricia Brier - Fine Art Photography and Photomontage

"Inspiring, thought-provoking, beautiful, groundbreaking, inventive, unique"
These are just some of the adjectives that have been aplied to Patricia Brier's photomontage creations. She describes her creative process as follows:

"Having been a photographer for several years, I decided to focus on the fine art aspect of photography, shooting the usual in unusual ways, and seeing light and moments as others might not.

"Quite by accident I started the process of photomontage. I was arranging photos for a print project and they sort of landed on each other. I began cropping and overlaying the images and found it was much like painting. I could call upon my earlier education in the fine arts.

"While I still do the fine art photography, now I also plan the montages. I combine the photographs needed (sometimes pulling up more than I actually need) with a quote, title or theme. I always try to tell some kind of story, or capture a moment in life, or a life’s lesson with each montage. Even the font for the quote becomes an integral part of the completed piece.

"The process of creating each montage turns into a lesson on life somehow… always positive, thoughtful, and inspiring. I hope you find your own story in these pieces."
